The History Of BSB Building Contractors

After completing school, Steve undertook a 5 year City & Guild course in advanced craft & carpentry at Reading Technical College.

At the age of 21 his skill set steered him towards the dry lining sector of the industry, where he became a plastering & dry lining contractor, working on huge contracts for big building companies. After a few years of running the dry lining company he started to gain a name for himself & found he was getting enquiries for building extensions.

So in the early 80’s he took on his first extension and since then has not looked back, word of mouth has been the mainstay of his work flow, with customer recommendations keeping him busy.

Since then BSB have taken on a huge array of projects, including schools, hospitals, churches, new builds, and refurbishment work.

He has a great team of men on board (some that have been with him since leaving school), and between them they have a huge array of building knowledge in all areas of the industry.

BSB are used to working in harmony with architects & quantity surveyors, as well as ensuring projects are perfectly managed to ensure building regulations are followed, (please note building regulations are not always needed for domestic properties).

Steve wants to deliver the best, he wants his customers to be given the best and be 100% satisfied with the final result, so he always ensures all his jobs are finished to the highest standard.
